How the Power (1) Works in Logisim
The Power component is the classic upward-pointing triangle symbol representing the positive supply rail (Vcc / Vdd, logic 1). By default its connection pin faces south at (0, 0) so you can drop it directly above vertical pull-up or enable lines.
For a 1-bit wire, Power outputs a continuous 1. If its Data Bits (width) attribute is increased to N bits, it outputs all ones (2^N - 1, such as 0xF for 4 bits). Electrically it behaves identically to a Constant with value 1, so never connect Power directly to Ground on the same wire or you will create a red E short circuit.
Tip: Use Power to permanently enable a Register (EN=1) or force a J-K or T Flip-Flop into toggle mode.
Power (1) Pins & Pinout
| Pin | Direction | Width | Location & Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| out0 (Power) | Output | 1–32 bits | Located at (0, 0), facing south by default. Outputs logic High (1 on every bit). |
